work week blues

Yesterday was my first day back to work! Yesterday i spent 1.25 at work for a drink, then spent $6.56 at Dollar General (starwars valentines, clearance gingerbread house, baggies and valentine decoration. Today spent $3.60 for a tombstone pizza on sale for dinner.

quick trip to cvs...not such a good idea when there is so much christmas clearance out there! lol

got $6 care bucks back, not sure why i got the other $4, the lady said they were giving extra today!
i also had a gift card with $1.80 left on it that i used to get rid of.

Spent $8.82 and saved 21.75 for the day!

Saturday- New Years Meal! Beans, black eye peas, greens, fried potatoes, mac&cheese, cornbread.

Meat balls subs, spaghetti, pork chops, burgers, hotdogs, chili, beef stew.
We got off track last week due to finger foods for dinner, so these meals with run into next week.

New Year, New Day 1-1-11

Starting today i will be posting everything i spend! 2 years ago i started couponing and this year i am going extreme! My goal is to only buy items when they are on sale or have a coupon (hopefully both) going for 90% of the time! This week will be my week to get used to writing down everything and posting menus. I am hoping this will help me be accountable for my actions. My savings goals for the year are to take the kids somewhere for a couple nights for Spring break (prob Gatlinburg) and then in July to Hilton Head Island for a 9 day/8 night vacation, Clothes and school supplies for kids, Disney spending money and Christmas 2011. Sounds like alot for me and my paycheck! But with some planning and saving i can do it! My contribution to the family is all groceries, my gas $, anything the kids need (birthdays, lunch money, field trips, clothes, toys, movie trips etc.) For starters i will be going to the bank Monday and UPing my Christmas club account to $30 a week up from $5 a week, and changing my amount that goes in savings to $100 a week, down from $125. This will make up for the up in the Christmas account. Starting Friday when i get my check i will break it all down. It will be a 40 hour check from vacation time and holiday pay, so that is good so i can always use that amount so any over will go straight to a savings account!
I am very excited about the New Year!
